Airfloa Rail Secures Order From Kapurthala For LHB Modules

Airfloa Rail Technology has secured a domestic order worth Rs 12.5 mn from Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala for the supply of luggage rack modules for LHB non-AC and AC chair car coaches. The contract will be executed within four months and follows the standard procurement framework of Indian Railways. The firm confirmed that the order does not involve any related party transaction and that its promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity. As per the contract 95 per cent of the order value will be released on submission of the inspection certificate and proof of dispatch or delivery and the balance five per cent will be paid after receipt inspection and acceptance by the consignee.

The contract scope includes third party inspection by a nominated agency and is subject to the General Conditions of Contract for the Stores Department together with applicable addendums. The company will comply with Indian Railways standard conditions and required quality assurance checks. The award was made by a domestic railway entity and the firm will deploy its manufacturing and inspection protocols to meet deadlines.

Airfloa Rail Technology is primarily engaged in the manufacture of components used in rolling stock for Indian Railways and supplies through railway production units such as the Integral Coach Factory and other coach factories. The company also undertakes turnkey interior furnishing projects for Indian Railways and supplies global rolling stock original equipment manufacturers. In the aerospace and defence sectors it manufactures intricate highly engineered and critical components.

For the year ended 31 March 2025 the company recorded revenue from operations of Rs 1923.9 mn and net profit of Rs 255.6 mn. Shares of Airfloa Rail Technology gained three point six per cent to close at Rs 332.10 on 10 April 2026. The firm will now proceed to execute the supply order in accordance with contractual terms and inspection requirements.
