Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Ltd (ASCDCL), and the agencies implementing geographic information system (GIS) and e-governance projects held a meeting at the AMC headquarters.

During the last months, ASCDCL through the tender process has shortlisted Amnex technologies for GIS projects and Mars Telecom for e-governance projects.

In the meeting, various components of projects were discussed which included the scope of work, project management plan, project roadmap, stakeholders communication plan-reporting frequency, key challenges, support requirements, risk response plan, data required from AMC, and ASCDCL, and the process for the data acquisition.

Both projects will be hosted on a cloud-based data center with an industry-standard disaster recovery mechanism.

Project management consultant Patil said that the support period of both projects is 10 years, and the entire system will be updated regularly.
