Chief Minister’s advisor Nasir Aslam Wani reviewed the status of ongoing Jammu Smart City projects as the annual Amarnath Yatra approaches. The review focused on major works including the PM e-Bus Sewa project and the Waste to Wonder Park. He was accompanied by the Jammu Municipal Corporation commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, Director Projects Sunil Thusu and other senior officials.

Wani first visited the TATA e-Bus depot being developed under the FAME-II initiative and inspected progress on charging and depot works. Officials said modern electric bus infrastructure is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 160 million (160 mn) to strengthen eco-friendly public transport in Jammu city. He directed the project team to ensure early completion and inauguration of the PM e-Bus Sewa service.

Later he inspected the upcoming Waste to Wonder Park and noted the artistic monuments created from recycled material and scrap. He engaged with artisans and workers and acknowledged their creativity and dedication to the project. The initiative was described as a unique addition intended to promote tourism, environmental awareness and public recreation.

Officials reported that the park is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 110 million (110 mn) and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026, with physical progress at nearly 80 per cent. The design will include 14 replica monuments formed from scrap, comprising seven international monuments, five national landmarks and two monuments representing Uttar Pradesh. Wani instructed authorities to make all possible efforts to ensure the project is ready before the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra so pilgrims and tourists can experience the attraction. He reiterated the government’s commitment to accelerate urban development and to equip Jammu with sustainable infrastructure and enhanced public amenities.
