Patna Opens 21 Urban Health Centres to Ease Hospital Burden

Under the Smart City Mission, Patna has set up 21 urban health and wellness centres to reduce pressure on government hospitals. Located across city wards, each centre will offer free outpatient services, maternal and child care, basic diagnostics, and emergency first aid. Staffed by doctors and paramedics, these G+2 units will also host yoga, vaccination drives, and awareness programmes. Managed by Patna Smart City, the initiative targets underserved communities and aims to decentralize access to essential healthcare services.
