SPML Infra Wins Rs 10.73 Bn Water Supply Project in Indore under AMRUT 2.0

SPML Infra, a leading Indian water infrastructure development company, has secured a Rs 10.73 billion contract from the Indore Municipal Corporation for the augmentation of the city’s water supply system under the AMRUT 2.0 programme. The project also includes a 10-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract, ensuring long-term sustainability and performance.
The project aims to significantly upgrade Indore’s water infrastructure, providing reliable access to safe drinking water for over 2 million citizens.
Key Scope of Work
- Intake & Pumping: Construction of a 1,650 MLD raw water intake system with a modern pump house.
- Water Treatment Plant: Development of a 400 MLD water treatment facility with advanced technology to meet stringent water quality standards.
- Pumping & Transmission: Installation of clear water booster stations, pumping mains, and a 22 km pipeline network with diameters ranging from 1200 mm to 2337 mm.
- Power Infrastructure: Establishment of a 132/33 kV substation to ensure seamless power supply to the system.
- Operations & Maintenance: A comprehensive 10-year O&M contract with structured escalation provisions for optimal performance.
The EPC portion of the project is expected to be completed within 30 months (including rainy seasons) from contract signing.
