Infosys signs 5-year deal with smart Europe GmbH in electric mobility

The IT company Infosys announced that it had entered into a five-year collaboration with the automotive company smart Europe GmbH to refine its direct-to-customer business model in Europe. According to the statement released by Infosys, the company will work with smart Europe GmbH to enhance customer experience, implement data-driven personalization, and improve engagement for the existing smart 1 model, the newly introduced smart 3, and other upcoming all-electric models.

In the statement, Infosys stated that it had signed a strategic collaboration agreement with smart Europe GmbH to enhance the Direct-to-Customer (D2C) business model in Europe. The goal is to provide superior customer experience, data-driven personalisation, and engagement for smart 1, smart 3, and future all-electric models from the renowned brand.

smart Europe GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of smart Automobile Co?a joint venture by Mercedes-Benz AG and Geely Automobile Co?will benefit from this partnership. According to the statement, Infosys plans to assist smart Europe GmbH in redefining the online electric vehicle purchasing experience and utilising machine learning (ML) models to accurately predict sales and after-sales demand.

To maximize the value derived from software, data, and cloud investments, Infosys will utilize its expertise in process, functional and technical aspects, coupled with a design thinking-led consulting approach.

Dirk Adelmann, Chief Executive Officer of smart Europe GmbH, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating, "We are delighted to have Infosys as our partner in this venture. With Infosys' strong leadership commitment and its ability to efficiently drive end-to-end application development and maintenance, we expect to enhance our operational performance and user experience."
