A seminar was recently conducted by the Ministry of Steel and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to create awareness about the various uses of steel slag. The event was attended by elite dignitaries of various ministries including Ministry of Steel, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, etc. Steel slag, a co-product of steel has been adopted globally due to its qualities that include high abrasion resistance, soundness characteristics, high bearing strength and much more. There is a growing need to adopt steel slag in India for its economic and environment benefits at large.
