Innovision Wins NHAI Toll Collection Contract Worth Rs 2,190.7 Million

Innovision has been awarded a user fee agency contract by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The Letter of Award and work order were issued following competitive e-tendering for IDTL A and IDTL B fee plazas on the six-laning of the Indore-Dewas section of National Highway three in Madhya Pradesh. The scope includes toll collection and related operational tasks.

The contract covers toll collection at the specified plazas and the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks, including replenishment of consumable items. The awarded contract is valued at Rs 2,190.7 million (mn), equivalent to Rs 2.1907 billion (bn) when expressed in billions, reflecting the scale of the assignment. The company will act as the designated user fee agency under the terms set out by the authority.

The procurement was completed through a competitive bidding process conducted electronically, with Innovision emerging as the successful bidder for the IDTL A and IDTL B locations. The responsibilities will require coordination with highway operators and local stakeholders to ensure seamless toll operations and facility maintenance along the corridor. The assignment aligns with broader efforts to enhance capacity and services on the Indore-Dewas stretch.

Innovision will be expected to implement operational controls and consumer-facing services in accordance with the work order and applicable regulatory requirements. The agreement underscores continuing private participation in highway operation services and the use of e-tendering to allocate such mandates. The National Highways Authority of India will oversee performance and contract compliance throughout the tenure of the engagement.

The agency will be required to submit regular performance reports and maintain records of collections and maintenance activities. Periodic inspections and audits will be carried out by the authority or its nominees to verify compliance with service standards. The arrangement is designed to maintain uninterrupted revenue flows for the highway project while ensuring passengers have access to maintained sanitation facilities. Stakeholder engagement and prompt resolution of operational issues will form part of routine contract management.
