Solar Driver

Under the guidance of Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, the company has commissioned the country’s largest floating solar PV project of 25 MW on the reservoir of its Simhadri thermal station in Vizag. The project has the potential to generate electricity from more than 1 lakh solar PV modules. It would help light around 7,000 households along with ensuring that at least 46,000 tonne of CO2e are kept at arm’s length every year during the lifespan of this project. It would also save 1,364 mn litres of water per annum. A true achievement!
