Mumbai projects to get funding from World Bank

The World Bank has shown interest in providing funds for the Charkop-Dahisar and Wadala-Teen Haath Naka metro projects in Mumbai. In its earlier stint, the World Bank had funded Mumbai Urban Transport Project for its two phases. The proposed underground 40.2 km Dahisar-Bandra-Mankhurd line will cost Rs 28,900 crore. The 30.8 km Wadala-Teen Haath Naka metro project will consist of 31 stations.
