The recently launched Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) has set an ambitious target of $2 trillion in exports by 2030, with a strong focus on MSMEs. The policy reduces license fees, simplifies export procedures, and provides access to the ECGC scheme for small exporters. It promotes cross-border e-commerce trade and supports MSMEs in enhancing their digital capabilities. Dedicated e-commerce hubs and post office facilitation will simplify logistics, while technology centres and funding aid MSMEs in adopting modern technologies.
