Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL) has announced a tender for design and construction of viaducts for the second phase of the Kochi Metro which is set to connect JLN Stadium to Infopark Kakkanad. This project will encompass construction of an elevated line stretching over 11.3 km and featuring a total of 11 stations. The commencement of work was set for December of the current year. The deadline for submission was said to be October 2023 and the contract will be granted to the successful bidder by mid-November. It was expected that civil construction work will be finished within 20 months followed by an additional four months dedicated to system and signalling work.
