Southern Railway has embarked on the rehabilitation project of Kollam Junction for a sum of Rs 3.61 billion. Every year, it receives an average of 16 billion passengers. Booking counters, a waiting area, a passenger information centre, help assistance booths, baggage scanning, outposts of GRP and RPF will all be located on the renovated southern side.
