JLR India Expands Retail Presence in Delhi and Gurugram

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India is expanding its retail presence in the National Capital Region by relocating its Delhi dealership to a larger integrated facility and opening a new sales outlet in Gurugram, Haryana. The company views the region as an important market for its growth plans.

The expansion has been undertaken in partnership with AMP Motors. The dealership in South Delhi has moved to a larger facility on Mathura Road, while the new Gurugram outlet adds to the luxury carmaker’s presence in one of the National Capital Region’s main automotive markets.

JLR India Managing Director Rajan Amba said the initiatives would strengthen the company’s retail presence in the region. He said Delhi continued to be an important market and that the integrated facility demonstrated the company’s focus on retail and after-sales services in key growth markets.

With the addition of the Gurugram dealership, JLR India’s retail network has expanded to 33 outlets across 26 cities in the country. The company is using the enlarged network to support both vehicle sales and after-sales engagement across the region.

During the June quarter, or Q1, JLR India retailed 1,665 vehicles, marking an 11 per cent year-on-year increase. The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender models accounted for more than 85 per cent of overall sales. Wholesale dispatches increased 4 per cent to 1,694 units during the quarter, indicating higher shipments alongside the growth in retail volumes.
