Seethakka Distributes Housing Sanction Letters to 109 Beneficiaries

Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka distributed housing sanction letters to 109 beneficiaries from 13 villages in Mulugu district under the second phase of the Indiramma housing scheme. Each beneficiary has been sanctioned Rs. 0.5 mn, taking the total allocation for the houses to Rs. 54.5 mn.

The distribution programme was held at Rythu Vedika in Govindaraopet mandal, where Seethakka participated alongside district collector Borkhade Hemant Sahadeorao. The minister said the government was committed to helping financially disadvantaged families realise their goal of owning a house through the housing scheme.

Seethakka said around 5,000 houses had been sanctioned in the first phase in Mulugu constituency. Beneficiaries who were eligible but did not receive sanction letters during the current phase would be considered in subsequent phases, according to the minister.

She asked beneficiaries to use the financial assistance appropriately and complete construction according to government guidelines. The funds will be released after foundation work is completed. Seethakka also said eligible women from self-help groups could access loans of up to Rs. 0.1 mn through their groups to meet initial construction expenses.

The minister directed officials to ensure the availability of sand and asked village sarpanches to support beneficiaries during construction. She also referred to other welfare measures, including free electricity, ration rice, free bus travel for women and housing assistance, and expressed hope that the beneficiaries would celebrate Bathukamma in their own homes next year.

Superintendent of Police Sudheer Ramnath Kekan and other officials attended the programme. The housing initiative is part of the Telangana government's broader rural development and welfare efforts aimed at supporting low-income households.
