Uttar Pradesh to construct 860,000 houses under PMAY

Following approval from the Union Ministry of Rural Development, the Uttar Pradesh government has begun the construction of over 800,000 houses under the PM Awas Yojana (Rural). Immediately following the decision, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Rural Development on Twitter, as per reports.

According to a state rural development department, the Chief Minister's continuous efforts have been an impetus in seeking the Centre's approval.
