Villaro Design Studio Opens on MG Road in Delhi

Furniture designer Yuvraj Vohra has recently launched the new Villaro Design Studio on MG Road, Delhi, introducing a furniture brand built around an architectural approach to design, materiality and craftsmanship.

Trained as an architect, Vohra approaches furniture as an integral part of the spatial experience rather than as standalone objects. Villaro's design philosophy focuses on proportion, material expression and the relationship between furniture and its surrounding architecture.

The collection explores combinations of stone, marble, wood, metal and upholstery, with materials treated as structural and visual components of each piece. Key elements include sculptural marble fireplaces, sofas incorporating stone within their arms, hand-fluted stone surfaces and seamless detailing. Shades including ivory, black and Calacatta Viola contribute to the collection's visual identity.

Rather than following short-term trends, Villaro places emphasis on construction quality, material character and proportion. Each product is developed with consideration for its intended space and use, allowing the furniture to complement the surrounding architecture and interiors.

The brand has also introduced a transparent production process. Before manufacturing, each piece undergoes a full kitting process in which materials, components and specifications are reviewed and approved. Quality checks are conducted at multiple production stages, while clients receive QC reports during the manufacturing process.

The MG Road studio has been designed as a collaborative resource for architects and interior designers working on residential and commercial projects. Villaro provides support including furniture presentations, shop drawings, 3D files for project models, material samples, and digital and physical mood boards.

The team also works with design professionals across concept development, technical detailing, manufacturing and installation, helping integrate furniture into projects from an early design stage.

Complete furniture settings within the studio allow visitors to understand how individual pieces interact with architectural spaces. Homeowners can also explore customised furniture solutions tailored to specific lifestyle, spatial and material requirements.

Through its new Delhi studio, Villaro aims to combine architecture-led furniture design, material-driven detailing, transparent manufacturing and collaboration with India's architecture and interior design community.
