NBCC bags Rs 3.32 bn order from Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agri Univ

New Delhi - The State-owned National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) announced that it has secured a contract valued at Rs 3.32 billion for infrastructure development works at Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agriculture University. NBCC, primarily involved in project management consultancy (PMC) and real estate, revealed that it would be undertaking infrastructural development works for the university across multiple campuses in Jhansi, Datia, Newari, and Morena/Khajuraho over the next three years. The total cost of the project is Rs 3.31 billion.

The proposed development works encompass the construction of boys' hostels, girls' hostels, academic buildings with classrooms and labs for the Jhansi campus. Additionally, the Datia campus is set to receive an auditorium, sports facility, fisheries ponds, and hostels. Meanwhile, the Newari campus will see the construction of an office building, training hall, and external development, while the Morena/Khajuraho campus will have an academic building and hostels for undergraduates.

NBCC also disclosed that it has been assigned the responsibility of implementing a project under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The estimated cost of this project, as per the terms of the MoU, is approximately Rs 240.98 million.
