Chandak Group Marks 40 Years with Citywide Tree Plantation Drive

Mumbai, 14 January 2026: Chandak Group has marked its 40-year milestone with the launch of #Mission4000Trees, a large-scale tree plantation initiative aimed at strengthening Mumbai’s green cover and reinforcing the developer’s long-term commitment to sustainability. Moving away from a conventional anniversary celebration, the initiative reflects the group’s focus on environmental responsibility as an integral part of urban development.

The flagship plantation drive was held at Chandak Treesourus in Malad West, where 4,000 saplings were planted as part of a community-led effort to enhance the city’s urban canopy. The initiative underscores the group’s view that contemporary luxury housing must extend beyond design and amenities to include cleaner air, open spaces and a healthier living environment.

A spokesperson from Chandak Group said the initiative was conceived as a meaningful way to create lasting value while celebrating the company’s four-decade journey in Mumbai’s residential real estate sector. The group emphasised that sustainability is a long-term responsibility and must progress alongside housing development.

The drive also highlighted Chandak Treesourus, a premium residential project in Malad West designed around a nature-first philosophy. The development features extensive open spaces spread across 3.5 acres and offers over 20 lifestyle amenities, integrating greenery into one of Mumbai’s high-density neighbourhoods.

Conceived as a participatory effort, #Mission4000Trees involved residents, stakeholders and future homeowners, fostering collective ownership towards environmental stewardship. Through this initiative, Chandak Group has aligned its anniversary milestone with a broader commitment to building a greener and more resilient Mumbai.
