Fresh push to new Yamuna bridge

In 1997, the construction of a new Yamuna bridge, parallel to the existing Lohe Ka Pul, was sanctioned to replace the 150-year-old iron bridge connecting the Old Delhi station to the Shahdara railway station on the Delhi-Howrah route. However, the project ran into several hurdles and the construction was held up for nearly two decades. There´s a fresh impetus to the project now with the railways awarding a contract to IIT-Delhi to provide technical expertise in the matter. The new deadline to complete the bridge is September 2018.

Surat Bullet Train TP Schemes Reviewed With JICA

Officials from the Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) met on Friday to review model town planning (TP) schemes being prepared for the bullet train station area.Five TP schemes — 61, 62-A, 62-B, 62-C, and 63 — have been developed over the past year under guidance from the state and central governments, with technical support from JICA. Lodha Sells 24-Acre Mumbai Land to Singapore’s STT GDC

Realty firm Lodha Developers Ltd has sold over 24 acres of land in the Mumbai region to Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) for approximately Rs 5 billion, sources said. The land transaction has already been registered.STT GDC acquired 24.34 acres at Palava, with Lodha Developers selling 1.74 acres and its subsidiary Palava Induslogic 4 Pvt Ltd selling 22.6 acres for a combined consideration of Rs 4.99 billion.
