DC Reviews Semi Ring Road Phase-II, Seeks Faster Progress

The Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, recently reviewed the progress of the Semi Ring Road Phase-II Project, which connects Sumbal to Manigam as part of the 4-lane Ring Road.

NHAI briefed the district administration through a detailed presentation on site progress, deployed resources, and current challenges.

Weather constraints have hindered earthwork and structure concreting, prompting the DC to direct the agency to accelerate execution, scale up manpower and machinery, and run parallel activities.

She further instructed NHAI to report issues promptly, maintain close coordination with Revenue, PWD, and district authorities, and resolve field bottlenecks without delay.

Emphasising public cooperation, the DC said the project is crucial for enhancing mobility and easing congestion, and urged landowners to support timely completion. Senior officials from the district and NHAI attended the review meeting.
