Rail Vikas Nigam Bags Rs 3.8 Billion Bridge Contract In Assam

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has secured a contract worth Rs 3.8 billion from Northeast Frontier Railway to construct a new rail-cum-road bridge over the Brahmaputra River at Saraighat, Assam. The bridge will be built parallel to the existing one to ease traffic and enhance connectivity.
The project scope includes construction of the foundation, substructure, and superstructure, along with installation of associated systems. Once completed, the bridge is expected to significantly improve rail and road movement in the region, supporting both passenger and freight transport.
RVNL said the project aligns with its commitment to delivering critical infrastructure that boosts regional development and strengthens the transport network in India’s Northeast.
