Ministry clears Rs 4.50 cr for Haryana under USIS

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has sanctioned Rs 4.50 crore to Government of Haryana for laying of artificial turf for football at Dariyapur, Fatehabad District under Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS).

The ministry said this in a press release. The ministry is implementing a Central Scheme, namely, Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS), on a pilot basis with effect from the year 2010-11.This Scheme aims at construction of (i) Synthetic playing surface( for hockey, football and athletics; and(ii) multi-purpose indoor hall.

State Governments, Local Civic Bodies, Schools, Colleges and Universities under Central/ State Governments and Sports Control Boards are eligible to receive financial assistance under this scheme.

Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group, has filed a trademark infringement case against JSW Cement in the Delhi High Court, alleging that its rival copied the ‘Kawach’ brand with its new product ‘Jal Kavach’.Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora issued summons to JSW Cement and its subsidiary, JSW IP Holdings Pvt Ltd, while referring the matter to mediation. SBI Sells 13.18% Stake in Yes Bank to Japan’s SMBC

State Bank of India (SBI) has completed the sale of a 13.18 per cent stake in Yes Bank to Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for over Rs 8,889 crore. The divestment is part of a Rs 13,482 crore deal finalised in May with SMBC and seven private banks.Following the transaction, SBI’s shareholding in Yes Bank stands at 10.8 per cent.
