Ministry clears Rs 4.50 cr for Haryana under USIS

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has sanctioned Rs 4.50 crore to Government of Haryana for laying of artificial turf for football at Dariyapur, Fatehabad District under Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS).

The ministry said this in a press release. The ministry is implementing a Central Scheme, namely, Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS), on a pilot basis with effect from the year 2010-11.This Scheme aims at construction of (i) Synthetic playing surface( for hockey, football and athletics; and(ii) multi-purpose indoor hall.

State Governments, Local Civic Bodies, Schools, Colleges and Universities under Central/ State Governments and Sports Control Boards are eligible to receive financial assistance under this scheme.
