Embraer, Mahindra Partner to Build C-390 Military Aircraft Hub in India

Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace company, has opened its India office and entered into a strategic partnership with Mahindra Group to establish a production hub for the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft. The collaboration aligns with India’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives to strengthen indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.
The two companies plan to set up an advanced aerospace ecosystem in India, covering assembly, testing, and maintenance of the C-390 aircraft. The facility will serve both domestic defence needs and export markets, enhancing India’s role as a global aerospace manufacturing destination.
Embraer officials noted that the C-390 Millennium offers superior efficiency, faster turnaround times, and multi-mission capabilities compared to existing transport aircraft. The partnership with Mahindra marks a significant step in deepening bilateral cooperation between India and Brazil in defence and technology sectors.
