TVS Mobility And PALFINGER To Explore Opportunities In Indian Defence Sector

TVS Mobility Private Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding with Austria headquartered PALFINGER AG (PALFINGER) to offer integrated supply chain, dealership, aftermarket, rental and mobility solutions in India. The agreement sets out a framework for joint exploration of opportunities in the defence sector by combining PALFINGER’s specialised equipment technologies with the operational capabilities and domain expertise of TVS Mobility Group (TVS Mobility).\n\nUnder the memorandum PALFINGER will invest Rs 3500 million (mn) in the first phase of its Strategy 2030 growth programme to establish a manufacturing plant in Pune by calendar year 2027. The investment is intended to support domestic production and to strengthen supply and service capacity for both domestic and export markets.\n\nTVS Mobility will support PALFINGER’s expansion in India by enabling supply chain readiness, market access and lifecycle support through its integrated ecosystem and operations. The group will leverage the combined strengths of TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), TVS Automobile Solutions (TVS ASL) and TVS Smart Mobility (TVS SM) to deliver end to end logistics, dealership, aftermarket and mobility services.\n\nAs PALFINGER implements its Strategy 2030 plans to serve domestic and global markets, TVS Mobility will play a central and key role in enabling operational readiness, faster go to market and scalable lifecycle support. The partnership is intended to bring together integrated capabilities across supply chain, dealership and aftermarket services to support PALFINGER’s growth trajectory in India.\n\nThe collaboration builds on an existing relationship and is expected to expand PALFINGER’s footprint in the region, improve parts availability and service responsiveness, and create a scalable platform for sustainable growth. Company representatives indicated that the arrangement will enable faster go to market and long term customer support while maintaining separate contractual arrangements among the parties. The initiative aligns with broader industry efforts to bolster domestic manufacturing and service ecosystems.
