Patna Smart City: Rodic bags project mgt contract

Rodic Consultants has been appointed as a project management consultant (PMC) to design, develop, manage and implement smart city projects in Patna under the Smart City Mission (SCM). The project, which is being executed by Patna Smart City with a budget of Rs 2,776.16 crore, is expected to be commissioned by May 2022.

As a part of the project, Rodic Consultants will look after the design development, bid process management, and construction supervision in the pursuit of creating a more liveable and sustainable Patna. The two-pronged development will take place over the area of 817.35 acres across Patna, with a focus on robust and resilient infrastructure, city decongestion, recreationally rejuvenating city, enhancement of economic & financial base, socially inclusive, etc.

The Patna Smart City will feature modern-day infrastructure, robust civic services, and efficient public transport system and ensure holistic development of the entire region.”

Under this mission, Rodic Consultants is aiming to revive the charm and glory of vibrant Patna by taking up sub-projects such as the development of Adalatganj Lake, Jan Sewa Kendra, Road joining BirChand Patel Path with Nehru Road, foot overbridges, re-development of Bakarganj Nala, Mithapur Talab, beautification of Gandhi Maidan and its surrounding area, installation and operation of the mega screen, smart parking in ABD area, E-Toilets at public places, installation of innovative 3-D paintings and erection of sculptures at strategic and focal locations.
