OBCL bags Rs 1.5 billion transportation contract from Vedanta

Orissa Bengal Carrier (OBCL) has signed a contract with mining conglomerate Vedanta to transport finished aluminium items. The agreement is worth approximately Rs 1.5 billion, with a one-year term, according to an OBCL statement issued on Thursday. OBCL stated that as part of the agreement, it will transport finished aluminium items to western business clusters. Vedanta has aluminium processing plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
