The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) has embarked on a programme to put in place an effective municipal solid waste management system in the city. The corporation has planned to set up four solid waste treatment plants (SWTP) on four sides of the city to meet its future needs, in addition to which a bio-hazardous material treatment plant will be established. The process of identifying suitable locations for setting up the plants has begun.
