Reports indicate that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) may take at least a couple of years to complete construction of the five underground stations, which are part of the phase III metro rail project in the capital city.
In order to enable the construction work, the corporation has introduced new traffic diversions from Bhikaji Cama Place to Sarai Kale Khan.
It is learnt that Chandulal Balmiki Marg and Gangnath Marg will both become congested owing to the diversions and hence commuters are advised to avoid these routes.
Commuters will be asked to take the road underneath 'B' Avenue flyover as there will be a diversion in front of Sarojini Market.
Commuters who are travelling from Moti Bagh on Ring Road should take a left on Africa Avenue at the crossing.
It is learnt that there will be no traffic diversion along Ring Road and adequate approach width will be provided even as Hazrat Nizamuddin Metro station will be constructed along the road between Sarai Kale Khan ISBT and Nizamuddin railway station.
