Surat airport has reported a rise in its passenger traffic in 2013 as compared to the previous year. The airport has registered a 28 per cent increase in the passenger traffic in 2013 with the total passenger footfall of 182,713 till March 1, 2013 as compared to 142,262 during the same period in 2012, according to Airport Authority of India (AAI). An increase in the number of domestic flights from the airport in the last few months also helped it attract more passengers.
