IL&FS bags Rs 150-cr UP rural electrification project

In Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company (IL&FS Engineering Services) has received an order from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam for rural electrification (RE) works. IL&FS is a Hyderabad-based infrastructure company. Under the central government’s Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana scheme, the turnkey project has been awarded to IL&FS and is valued at Rs 149.68 crore. The project has been funded by the Rural Electrification Corporation and is to be completed in 18 months, IL&FS Engineering said in a press release on October 17.
