How is the current market scenario influencing your offering at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA this year? Any new launches planned?

Schwing Stetter as a company, always stays focused in introducing the latest state-of-the-art technologies that is required for the construction industry especially in India. Our group has 82 years of experience in seeing the progress of various countries like Germany, the US, most of Western Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China, South Korea, etc, which are now developed markets.

We believe in technology, which the market is prepared to absorb. To elaborate on this, the manpower availability, the need for completing the construction faster are some of the key parameters that will prepare the market to absorb the product specifications, which will help them meet the requirement. It is pointless to bring the most advanced machineries when there is absolutely no need for speed, scale or skill in a particular market. We are careful so as to bring the technology which matches with the market aspirations. We would not like to overdo and kill a product prematuredly in the process. Therefore, we have addressed the current requirement by launching our new products.

At BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016, Schwing Stetter India will be launching a slew of new products. These products are for different needs like batching concrete, transporting concrete, pumping concrete, recycling concrete and shotcreting concrete. But this year, we will be specially addressing the key focus areas of the Government of India such as Clean India or Swachh Bharat and Skill India. Towards those goals, we will be displaying Smartec sludge pump, which will be of great help in projects like cleaning of Ganga, metro rail construction, wastewater management and smart cities.

Similarly, our training simulators will offer opportunity to the operators to move on to virtual experience and simulation to train them in safety and operation of concrete boom pumps. This will be a one step forward compared to the current learning with the graphics.

Also, we will be showcasing a Heavy duty stationary pump SP 4507 for the first time. SP 4507 is a new development for the present trend of high-rise pumping requirement, especially in growing real estate markets like India and abroad. This new age pump bridges the gap between SP3800 and SP4800 capacity pumps. This will cater to the high-rise segment where the present challenge is of pumping the mix with stiff consistencies at a faster rate to around 300 m vertical.

Other features include:
1. The pump develops 203 bar pressure on concrete and delivers an output of 54 cu m per hour in high pressure configuration.
2. The pump kit and rock valve of the SP 4507, each have their own hydraulic circuit. It helps to handle high grade mix. The full power of the pump kit will be available – regardless of the switching movements of the rock. This ensures a quiet pump behavior, high pumping capacity and protection of the components with less vibration.
3. The new generation ‘rock’ comes with high efficient energy transfer on the concrete.
4. New operator interface and emergency pressure release system will ensure safe operating environment.

We will also be launching a slew of products like recycling plant RA20, 5 tonne external climbing flat top tower crane XGT T80, 1.8 tonne wheel loader LW180K, motor grader GR 150 II, truck mounted crane QY85KA-Y, piling rig XR130E, crank arm type aerial lift platform GTBZ14J, crank arm type aerial work platform GTJZ08 and horizontal directional drilling machine XZ450 plus.

In terms of generating business, what are your expectations from the event this year?

We expect BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016 to have many visitors, the decision-makers especially from the government departments, which will give all the manufacturers an opportunity to showcase the strength of the company and the product to such visitors. This will definitely help the industry to have a better understanding about the future requirement of machines for increase in the scale of construction in India, with increased speed and skill levels. We look forward to the customer feedback and comments for the products displayed, so that we can finetune and bring out the products which are capable of addressing their needs.
