Master Planner

Abbas Master, CEO, Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT), finds his master implementer in Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, for India´s largest cluster redevelopment project. Mumbai´s 100-year-old Bhendi Bazaar´s urban renewal plan has now received the IOD (Intimation of Disapproval) for the first phase and Master Plan layout approval from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). Master has been working towards quick expedition of the project since 2009 in various spheres and achieved this feat within 10 days of meeting Fadnavis, who recently approved the new Cluster Development Policy. This ambitious project, also touted to be the first smart city model in Mumbai by way of urban renewal, is well planned with features such as solar panels, garbage disposal, energy conservation, etc. With SBUT´s dream project finally getting a green signal, the world is taking notice of what magic will Master weave to inspire urban development project managers the world over.
