We were awarded a contract for supply and installation of parking systems, says Sandeep Kulkarni, VP (Sales), Wohr Parking Systems

Wohr Parking Systems understood from the Hiranandani Group team that they were planning an IT park at Thane, in Mumbai. "While we were initially not aware of who the end-user was, but later understood it was TCS, we were overwhelmed to be part of such a prestigious project," says Sandeep Kulkarni, Vice President (Sales), Wohr Parking Systems. Looking at the requirement and comfort of the end-user, Work Parking Systems suggested that the TCS Olympus Centre project use Wohr Parklift Model PL411 in the basement. "This idea was liked by the Hiranandani Team and we were awarded a contract for supply and installation of parking systems," adds Kulkarni. He shares more on the company and its offerings to the TCS Olympus Centre developed by the Hiranandani Group...

Tell us about your offerings for parking systems and your clientele?
We have already installed a large number of parking systems of similar specifications with typical requirements for IT parks across India, such as the Panchshil Tech Park Viman Nagar and Kharadi in Pune. We also had the experience of supplying and installing more than thousands of systems at HITEC City, Hyderabad; Whitefield, Electronic City, Bellandur, Marathahalli, Sarjapur Road, Hebbal, Yelahanka, etc, in Bengaluru, and World Trade Centre Kochi, among others.

Elaborate on the benefits of your products.
Systems manufactured by Wohr in India are a true step towards 'Make In India'. These products are manufactured at our state-of-the-art factory in Pirangut, Pune. Our partners have off loaded manufacturing of these systems from German plants to Indian plants as we have ensured high standard of safety and have acquired TUV certification from Germany, which is as per European norms EN14010. The hydraulic systems use eco-friendly ecological oil. These systems require minimum electricity for operation and are silent (less than 30 decibels), which is an important element in the working environment of TCS.

What is your contribution towards reducing the carbon footprint?
We have recently developed electrical charging stations in our systems for future cars, which is a true green parking solution and is eco-friendly. This will help reduction in the carbon foot print.

How did your services contribute to the successful completion of the TCS Olympus project, within a record 18 months?
Our Indian plant can cater to around 16,000 to 18,000 systems per annum on high tech robotic machinery, which as a result, produces consistent quality. We like to take challenges to install these systems at various sites in a record time; we do so by just assembling the systems on site without requiring any welding or modifications.

The local construction team of Hiranandani Group and our installation team had jointly jotted down all the preparatory works before arrival of the systems at site, which helped completing the project in this record time.
