Coal Supply through e-auction for Reliance

Reliance Power has booked a year's coal supply for its 600 MW plant at Butibori through forward e-auction organised by Western Coalfields. This was the first ever forward e-auction for a cost plus mine, wherein coal is supplied through a dedicated mine for which the consumer has to pay a price that ensures rate of return of 12 per cent over the basic cost.
