Power Grid to invest Rs 1 tn in Twelfth Five Year Plan

Power Grid Corporation of India is finalising plans for a capital expenditure of about Rs 100,000 crore for the Twelfth Five Year Plan. This move will expand transmission network significantly. The company is on course of achieving its targeted investment of Rs 55,000 crore during the current Eleventh Five Year Plan. It has sewn up an outlay of Rs 17,700 crore for various projects during the current fiscal. This would boost the transmission line by another 8,400 circuit km translating to a capacity addition of about 18,000 mVA (megavolt amperes).Contact: Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.
