Biodiversity conservation plan recieves approval

The biodiversity conservation plan for the Jaitapur nuclear power project in the state has received the approval of the Environment Ministry´s high-powered panel. The decision was taken by the Expert Appraisal Committee (Nuclear) and now has to go ahead for the plan prepared in consultation with the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and the state forests and wildlife department.
