DMICDC to develop 24 industrial cities
The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC), a joint venture between the Government of India and IL&FS and IDFC, will develop 24 industrial cities over 5,000-5,500 sq km in area in the DMIC region. The first phase to develop seven cities over 2,000 sq km at a cost of Rs 325,000 crore will complete by 2018. The overall plan is to develop 24 cities along the 1,483 km Delhi-Mumbai corridor by 2040.
