Government enters into tripartite agreement with NHAI and MPT

The state government, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) recently signed a tri-partite agreement to undertake the construction of 5.2 km of the four lane road from Varunapuri to MPT. The project is expected to be completed in 30 months and cost Rs 546 crore. The four lane road project from Varunapuri, at Vasco, to MPT is hanging for the last 10 years. Out of this, the 13.2 km stretch from Verna to Varunapuri is already completed.
