MDDA plans infra projects
Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) plans to set up a new city centre near on 20 acre in Dehradun with an investment of Rs 125 crore. A planetarium, community hall and a mall have been proposed at the city centre. Uttarakhand Government has also asked the MDDA to give necessary clearance to the old bus stand project in Dehradun. The project is facing hurdles despite an agreement reached between the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation and Nagarjuna Construction Company on private public partnership (PPP) mode in 2008. Under the agreement, a commercial mall with multiplex was to come up at 1.06 acre where the old bus stand is situated at a cost of Rs 15-20 crore.
