TN writes to Centre for funds for wind energy projects

The Tamil Nadu government, which proposes to invest Rs 5,998 crore in wind power projects, has requested the Ministry of Finance to sanction Rs 1,500 crore under the National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF). Power transmission infrastructure projects related to renewable energy are eligible for financial aid of 40 per cent of the project cost under NCEF, set up by the Union government.
