Maharashtra plans Rs.1,000 cr affordable housing fund

The Maharashtra housing authority is planning to raise Rs 1,000 crore as initial corpus for a development fund to support affordable housing projects financially. The fund will be managed by a financial institution and the corpus will be used to lend developers of low-cost and affordable housing projects.
