Allcargo Logistics plans container freight station facility

Allcargo Logistics is setting up Container Freight Station facility at Kolkata Port. This is a part of the growth strategy of the container freight station business of the company. The total investment for setting up the facility port is envisaged to be around Rs 35 crore and is expected to be fully operationalised latest by 2017-end. Kolkata Port Authority has recently allotted 16.5 acre on long term lease basis (30 years) to the company for setting up of CFS facility, which will be situated at a distance 2.5 km from the Kolkata Port. The proposed facility will have state-of-the-art infrastructure like other CFS and ICD facilities at JNPT, Chennai, Mundra, Dadri and Pithampur. Contact: Allcargo Logistics. Tel: 022-6679 8100.
