The UDF Government refuses to co-operate with the proposed private international airport project at Aranmula in Kerala. The work has been stopped by the Southern bench of the National Green Tribunal. The localities have opposed the project from the beginning alleging that the airport will destroy the environment.The Kerala Government, which had a 10 per cent stake in the controversial project worth Rs 2,000 crore, has no plans to appeal against the tribunal order.
