Essar Group inks pact with Paradip Port Trust

Paradip Port Trust (PPT) signed a concession agreement at an estimated cost of Rs 408.80 crore with Essar Paradip Terminals Ltd, an SPV floated by the Essar Group, for construction of a deep draught coal berth in the port on a BOT basis. PPT will provide all supporting facilities like dredging, railway connectivity and backup area at an estimated cost of Rs 70.21 crore. The construction of the berth is expected to  complete within 36 months from the date of award of the concession.
