Japan has received the contract to build strategic roads on Indo-China border. India agreed, in a recent meeting, to give about 2,000 km of road construction contract along the Chinese border to Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA). JICA will provide financial and technical muscle required to construct and improvise the roads. Earlier, the entire border road construction task was assigned to Border Road Organisation (BRO).
