NH-212 widening work to begin

The widening of NH-212 from Moolehole in Bandipur to Uttamballi in Kollegal, to cope with traffic density, is likely to commence next month after the final design is approved by authorities. The road expansion is part of the upgradation work on the 131-km stretch at a cost of Rs 585 crore by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Under the project, the Mysore-Nanjangud stretch of 21.5-km will be transformed into a four-lane while the rest of the stretch will have a carriage width ranging from 7 m to 15 m.
