Tamil Nadu road project cost pegged at 50 bn

The Tamil Nadu state Highways and Minor Ports department pegged the cost of road improvement projects in the state at around Rs 5,000 crore. It identified a set of projects for future implementation, and prepared a list of roads for improvement in the near future on priority. Around 2,500 km of state highways and major district roads has been selected after the study for the first phase of improvement programme.
