Cairn India suspends pipeline- laying project

Resistance from the local community forced Cairn India to suspend its pipeline-laying work on the Salaya-Bhogat stretch in Jamnagar. The pro­ject will bring crude oil from Rajasthan oilfields to coastal refineries, which will help in reducing the heavy import bill.
