Govt may auction 68 Oil and gas blocks

The government may auction around 68 oil and gas blocks in NELP-X during the 10th round of New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP) in 2013-14. The Union Petroleum Ministry and the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) are in the process of securing various clearances for offering the blocks. Of the 68 blocks being considered for offering, 25 are deep water, 20 shallow water and 23 blocks are on land blocks.
